EcoGuide: Russian Wild Mammals

EcoGuide: Russian Wild Mammals is a unique and comprehensive mobile guide to the wild terrain mammals of Northern Eurasia. Developed by Ecosystema, this app is the first of its kind in Russia and offers a wealth of information on 147 prevalent species. Each species is accompanied by a photo and drawing of the male and female, tracks, signs, nests, holes, burrows, excrements and droppings, as well as typical identification features and text descriptions and voices.

One of the standout features of EcoGuide is its ease of use in identifying species. The app utilizes 18 determination morphological characters, each with 3-8 values, allowing users to narrow down the possibilities when encountering an unknown animal in nature. The app also includes 6 main parts: Guide, Atlas, Textbook, Manual, Systematic Tree, and Quiz, providing users with a comprehensive and interactive learning experience.

A notable feature of EcoGuide is its offline functionality. The app works without an internet connection, allowing users to use it directly in nature when they come across an unknown animal or its tracks. By using the Guide, users can narrow down the potential species to 2-3 and then compare their findings with the images and descriptions in the Atlas.

Please note that this app is only available in Russian.
